Celebrating 25 Years in Business

Stowe Street Emporium | Jun 09 2021

Stowe Street Emporium is celebrating 25 years in business by throwing a birthday bash on Saturday, July 20th and Sunday, July 21st. Our doors will be wide open to thank the community that has stood by this store for 25 years.

What’s happening at this birthday event? Expect cake from Hender’s Bake Shop on Saturday at 1:00pm and The Udder Guy’s ice cream cart will be serving cones just outside our doors on Sunday. The best part? With every purchase we’ll be giving every customer a ticket for Free Ice Cream on us from 1pm-3pm.

stowe street emporium birthday 25 yearsWe can’t spill the beans on all of the deals and raffles, but the entire store will be 25% off for everyone on our email list. Just show us the email at the checkout! Sign up here to get in on the fun. Aside from the 25% off, we will be running text-to-win raffles for $25 store gift cards and other items around the store will be marked down, just look for the balloons!

Twenty-five years ago Jack Carter and Ted Schultheis took a chance and we are honored to be carrying the torch that they lit so many years ago. In 1994, a space became available in the heart of downtown Waterbury. Jack had no idea what the town would grow to become in 2019, but in 1994 he imagined a general store, an emporium, where the town could come for gifts, cards, home goods, and other unique items. With huge booms of success, difficult seasons, and a devastating fire 5 days before Christmas in 2009, Stowe Street Emporium is still here and is still thriving. We have nothing but gratitude for Jack and Ted, the energy and love they poured into this store, and the trust they placed in our family when the legacy was passed to us.

We welcome you all to join us on July 20th and 21st for a bit of fun and some great shopping!
